Summary
It is amazing what pulling on a dark tracksuit and a baseball cap can do for one's anonymity. Andy never expected her lucrative side gig to lead her here. By day, she works as a journalist for The Mirror, with a less-than-stellar salary. By night, she is "Vargas," an incognito private investigator who has a "strictly online" policy.
But tonight, a new client breaks the rules and insists on meeting face-to-face. Walking into a coffee house in Midtown, she expects a routine transaction--and finds the infamous Miranda Priestly waiting. She is overwhelmingly beautiful, intimidating, and exacting—but her hands are unsteady, and beneath the command mask lies a volatile mix of fury and fear.
