It wasn’t that Tony didn’t like dogs ; it’s just he didn’t expect one to be sprung onto him so quickly. He wouldn’t admit it, but Tony thought he was struggling enough with college, and so having a dog wasn’t the best thing in the world to happen to him.
Except maybe having a dog isn’t the worst thing when the world’s cutest boy has a dog-walking side hustle. Bruce Banner’s studying at the college just next door, working three jobs just to pay his rent. Tony sees it just as a matter of whether he can woo said cutest boy; but Bruce Banner likes to play hard to get.

Steve doesn’t think he’ll ever get the sickly metallic smell of blood out of his nose.
No, really, he feels like it’ll never come out of his skin or out from under his nails or out of his clothes. He feels like it’ll just haunt him for the rest of his life, drift like cartoon stink lines behind him, acting as the worst shadow a person could have.
He also doesn’t think he’ll get rid of the image of Billy pushing his own intestines back into his body, holding them in place with slippery, shiny hands. And he was still trying to forget about those demon dogs and that thing at the Byers’ house that night, forgetting the smell of dead animal and the feeling of slimy, mucousy spit and alien chirping noises. So now, his nightmares are oil-slick with Billy’s blood, and echoing with the sounds of his death rattle.
