“Hey, what’s up, what’s wrong-” Kojiro slurs out, rubbing his eyes as he sits up to check on his husband.
Kaoru looks at him, or at least he tries. One eye is shut tight, the other is squinted, just barely open. Clearly, he’s still half asleep.

Kojiro has been wearing shirts at all times for eight consecutive days. Kaoru finds this terribly suspicious. Kojiro is hardly shy by nature; years of dedication at the gym have resulted in a body sculpted by some mad genius admirer of the male human form, and Kojiro likes to show it off. He dresses appropriately at work, but that's about it. When they skate, he's shirtless more often than not, and even when they're just hanging out, somehow, he always finds a way to display his torso, which is, objectively, an extremely fine example of a torso.
And it's not that Kaoru misses seeing it, exactly, but...he just wants to be sure that his best friend is okay, mentally, and not in the early stages of some weird gorilla breakdown.
