Summary
It is a universally known fact that Wei Wuxian hates Lan Wangji. He hates the Lan for several reasons, the most important one being that Lan Wangji stole his brother from him. So, when Wei Wuxian has to spend a week out in the ocean with the Lan, he is sure that nothing will change. That is, until Lan Wangji saves his life.

“Okay,” Wei Wuxian says into his shoulder, and “I love you,” much, much quieter, into the pillow as he shifts closer. The rustle of sheets is more than loud enough to hide it. Still, he tenses with the danger of it, anticipating.
Lan Zhan’s breaths are even. Wei Wuxian swallows down what tastes like disappointment.

Wei Wuxian opens one eye, sneaking a peek at the paper, then both. It’s gone. The flame burns freely and uninterrupted. The curse– the curse should be broken, now, right? He hazards a look at Lan Zhan and his heart thumps in his chest like it’s trying to prove a point.
“Fucking hell,” he says under his breath.
“Wei Ying?”
“I– yeah. Sorry, um. Technical difficulties.”
