Superman’s head came up sharply, like the sound of Bruce’s shock still meant something to him—and it was Clark, but he was different. Different lines on his face, a subtly different curl to his hair, and as he looked Bruce up and down his eyes blew wide.

When the League tries to bring in a thief with stolen reality-shifting technology, Clark is accidentally exchanged with his counterpart from a universe that's almost identical—except he's married to Lois. And they have a son.As each side scrambles to swap their Clarks back, Bruce and Clark find themselves grappling with new questions about their life together, faced with the possibility of things having gone differently for not just the two of them, but their children—the ones they have, and the one they've never met. Hal was angry about many things today: an alien invasion happening while breakfast-in-bed rituals were being enjoyed, Bruce knowing his Lantern ring's size like the freak that he is, and the fact that all of this was happening while he was wearing pink flannel pajamas under his uniform, and his breath still smelled like barely-10-second mouthwash about 2-hours into the fighting and the rescuing.
Bruce apparently think it's the most romantic thing they could be doing...
...that fucking loser.

If he thinks you're just eager to get him into bed, he's probably not going to react well to those advances. I'm just thinking out loud here, but he seems the type to want more than that."

Hal has been trying to spend more time with Bruce and flirting with him to make their meetings to discuss investigations, feel more like dates. Miscommunication keeps them from taking a step forward with their relationship, and only after Hal gets sense knocked into him, does he have the chance of clearing things up with Bruce.
