Koushi is smart. He really is. He has a PhD. He does research. He’s careful with his money and his words.
He’s smart at just about everything except being social. He’s a psychologist, not a sociologist, and certainly not a therapist. When your closest friend lives on the other side of the country and the only other people you have are your neighbors, you probably don’t have a lot going for you. So he keeps his peace at home where he can’t be a disappointment. You can’t fail if you don’t try.
