The band started their first song and they went wild. The singer was a short girl with brown skin and pudgy thighs in jeans ripped to decadent shreds. The boy on drums pressed their face into a sneer without letting up, slamming the poor instrument like it would never produce sound unless they beat it from the surface. Daniel nodded with the music, the groove of the song.
Armand, Armand, Armand. Daniel wished for her like a shooting star or a birthday candle. Where was her angel of the morning? Where was her slim hand clasped over Daniel’s wrist, her cold necklace gracing Daniel’s chin?
