His hands still dragging over Jake’s face mapping out the lines and wrinkles around his eyes. “Driving differently doesn’t mean we’re not on the same team. You always pushed me to be a better driver just like I challenge you to be smarter. Not all races need a risk, but when they do, I know you’ll be smart about it. I just didn’t think you needed to today. You did, Mav does too. Are y’all wrong? Maybe. But that doesn’t mean I’m walking away from this team or you.”
