In an alternate 2012, Bruce reluctantly agrees to stick around and help Tony after his unexpected heart attack, although he's not a cardiologist and he's not comfortable in New York. For his part, Tony doesn't see the point in some of his new doctor's orders regarding things like caffeine and cholesterol. But with time, the pair learn how to take care of each other, even when they can't take care of themselves.
