Shouto has forgotten what good physical touch means. All the times he remembers involving physical affection date back approximately ten years. That is, from before his mom got sent to the hospital.
Every time he’s been in contact with somebody after that, he’s been afraid and scared.
Izuku seems to be the only exception to this.Or; Izuku has a habit of sleeping on Shouto, and Shouto’s happy to let him.

Summary
The box of delicious gooey chocolates was dropped.
"No," Izuku said under his breath, reaching sadly back for his lost treasure. A true tragedy. The elevator door closed before he could break free.
It didn't take them long to get to Izuku's room or for Shoto to fish his keys out of Izuku's pocket. A year of friendship had made him a little too cocky for Izuku's liking.
He was coaxed (shoved) into his own room. Shoto right on his tail. The door swung closed behind them. Shoto ghosted his hand across the lock, a layer of ice trailing from his fingers and effectively sealing it.
"You've got to be joking," Izuku rolled his eyes.
"What joke did I say?"

Summary
The secret to love is that it doesn’t last. Love burns like a matchstick, starting with a spark, flourishing in a strong, beautiful flame, eating up what it can, and then petering out, leaving nothing but a twisted crisp behind. People get caught up in the flame and forget the end of the story. Shouto knows this better than anyone.
The question he’s always left with is is it worth it?
He can answer that question now, he decides as he watches Midoriya kick the Hero Killer directly in the head. You fall in love, because love is beautiful. Because love changes something inside of you. The fire leaves behind a broken splinter, but that splinter has a story, a story of heat and energy and passion.
Ice shoots out of Shouto’s foot and he catches Midoriya as he falls. Always, Izuku. I will always catch you.- Language:
