Louis' thumb gently drags across his bottom lip as he tries to focus on the page in front of him.
His eyes coast across the printed out text but none of it registers. The words fly past him, fluttering somewhere in the back of his mind as if they've just sprouted wings. Lestat is sitting on the bottom of Louis' bed, his back leaning against the wall.
Louis has read the same sentence twelve times now.
