Gabe Owens has a lot of regrets. Working for Silver Line, a luxury car service contracted to the New York Admirals, isn't one of them, but having a crush on one of the company's clients definitely is, especially once that client starts getting blackout drunk most nights. He can't leave Danny to rot or get exposed, and he cannot be discovered helping him or risk losing his job.
This is an arrangement that can definitely go on forever. Nothing will possibly go wrong.

Tim can tell he’s close to winning, because Lucy is growing more and more tense as they volley back and forth.
“Tim, leave it alone,” she says, and she almost sounds serious. Tim glances over, hoping he hasn’t pushed too far, but he can see the way she bites her lip, and the way her eyes keep flickering to him and then away again, and he knows she wants to tell someone what’s wrong, she just doesn’t think she should.
“Lucy. Please. I can tell you’re not yourself, and if you get hurt because you’re too damn stubborn to just tell me what’s fucking wrong— ”
“Chris can’t get me off and I’m fucking horny, Tim!”
