    Summary

Eddie recaps this in his head a couple more times and he’s — jealous. Fuck, he’s jealous. That’s the word for it, the heat coiling deep in his gut, his whole body wound like a spring about to snap.

    Jealousy.

Which is a bizarre emotion to feel about your best friend sleeping with someone. Jealousy implies ownership, implies wanting, implies — implies that 1) Eddie is not straight, and 2) he is possibly in love with his best friend and maybe possibly wants to suck said best friend’s dick about it.

Alright — okay. Eddie feels like he needs to sit with that for a second, give it the space it deserves.

Eddie wants to suck a dick attached to a person who is a man.

Not just any dick, either. Buck’s dick. His best friend.

    Huh.

He expected that to feel weirder. He expected sirens, maybe, or a crisis, or at minimum a dramatic internal monologue about his Catholic upbringing and the sanctity of heterosexuality.

Instead, there’s nothing. The sirens are silent, the crisis doesn’t come, and Eddie wants to suck his best friend’s cock. Non-platonically.

    Or,
Eddie moves back to LA, finds out Buck slept with Tommy, and reacts accordingly.

    Summary

Senior year at Beacon Hills High is supposed to be perfect. You are supposed to be perfect.
You’ve spent years curating that image. Smiles in the right hallways, the right friends at lunch, the right kind of indifference toward anything that doesn’t matter in your world. People don’t see how much work it takes to stay untouchable, especially when home is just another place you’ve learned to perform. Your parents are always absent, and your stepbrother Jackson is always there, like a reminder that even family is something you had to learn to share.
Jackson is the kind of beautiful that makes people look twice. You learned early how to stand next to that without disappearing. You’ve built yourself around what you can control: reputation, appearances, the stories people tell when you leave the room.
Then, during detention with your strange neighbor, you see something you were never meant to see. A body.
You and Isaac make a choice to bury it and move on. Simple. Logical.
But by morning, the girl you saw dead is back at school. Smiling, talking, living like nothing changed.
Except something did. And in Beacon Hills, the most dangerous thing isn’t what dies.
It’s what learns to take its place.

    Summary

Buck hadn’t wanted someone to tell him that he’s in the right, that it’s not his fault. Because everything with Daniel sure as hell feels like it’s his fault. He tells himself that if his genes would have been just a little stronger, if they would have matched just a little better, then maybe his parents would have loved him.

(AKA the breakdown after 4x05 that Buck deserved to have.)

    Summary

“The good news is, none of the substances any of you were exposed to were particularly dangerous. They were mostly trying to make psychedelic drugs in that little kitchen lab of theirs. That’s why they were growing mushrooms,” said Athena.

    “Mostly?” asked Eddie.

“That’s the bad news. They were also trying to formulate an…aphrodisiac.”

When Eddie gets exposed to an experimental aphrodisiac on a call, he realizes there’s only one person he trusts to help him get through it: Buck.

    Summary

“I’ll do it,” Eddie repeats, looking at Buck in one of those silent conversation ways again, but Buck actually can’t figure out what he’s trying to say this time. It messes with his brain, until Eddie speaks again, “I’ll pretend to only be a little offended none of you have thought to ask me before, but Buck, I’ve fixed a lot of cars. I can look at yours.”

(or, the check engine light comes on in Buck's Jeep, Eddie volunteers to fix it and carpool with him in the meantime, and it all breaks down from there, literally and metaphorically)
