The invitation did hold an option of a Plus One and it would be beneficial to have the detective somewhere he could monitor him. He sighed a weary sigh that Ranpo just knew meant he was considering to give in. With a beaming smile, Ranpo chimed "Thanks President, I knew you'd see things my way!" and walked out the office. He's handled Ranpo for just over 12 years, he could handle 2 weeks.
Edogawa Ranpo and Fukuzawa Yukichi have gone one a cruise sponsored by one of Fukuzawa's former clients from his bodyguarding days. It seemed that they were going to have a nice typical mini vacation as they head towards the Philipines but this gets grinded to a halt the moment a wealthy heiress on board gets murdered.
Ranpo would have to use his detective skills and keep his wits about him in order to solve the case and find the murderer in time before more people got killed or worse, before a rival detective figures out whodunnit first.Bookmarked by lemavi

There’s something peculiar, in Edgar’s opinion, about loving the world’s greatest detective.
When Edgar doesn’t have the energy to deduce things, Ranpo will tell him plainly, even if he’ll inevitably complain until Edgar smiles at him and offers to brush his hair in thanks. When Ranpo doesn’t want to figure something out, Edgar will do the same. It’s a promise they made before they’d even gotten together, in the weeks following the vampire incident, when Ranpo was trying too hard to make up for mistakes that weren’t his and Edgar wasn’t quite sure where he belonged.
So when Ranpo sits on the couch next to him in their home, bumping his shoulder into Edgar’s arm, and asks what’s wrong, Edgar answers.
“Do you want to get married, Ranpo-kun?”

“I-” Ranpo starts again, before he’s interrupted by another particularly loud ‘boom!’ of thunder, paired with an accompanying flash of lightning. He flinches, his grip tightening on the blanket as his brow furrows slightly.
And Poe suddenly has a very sudden realization.
‘Oh.’
“...I…can’t sleep alone during storms.”
‘Oh.’
OR
Ranpo stays over at Poe's one night due to a storm. Cuddling ensues.

Summary
Ranpo had run out of luck. He was known for his impeccable mission record, for being able to get by on wits alone. There was no such chance this time.
Hanging his head, Ranpo sank to the ground, accepting his rotten situation. He’d catch his breath before making his next move, to scour the city for the supplies necessary to make it back home. His current location allowed him the necessary time to formulate a plan (he wasn’t quite as fast as Dazai on this skill, but he easily held his own). Anyone with functioning sensibilities would take one look at him and turn away, danger written in every line of his being—humans were self-preserving, he expected no less.
At least, he did. Until someone decided to take any shred of that presumption and dump it into the dumpster reeking up his nostrils beside him.

Summary
Ranpo is inexperienced when it comes to physical intimacy (or, well, any sort of intimacy, for that matter) and is looking to change that. Poe, in a surprising turn of events, is not, and doesn't mind helping his "rival" out with that problem of his.
He's still not sure why the younger detective deemed him to be the most suitable candidate for the job, but he's certainly not complaining.
(And certainly not secretly jubilant at the prospect of deepening his relationship with the other man. Definitely not).
