Summary
Eddie has never put any faith in personality quizzes. Buck, however, loves them, just as he does every other curiosity-driven deep dive into the vast pool of knowledge on the World Wide Web.
“This one is different though,” Buck claims. He’s been trying to convince the whole crew to take a new test all morning.
“How is it different, Buckley?” Chimney asks from where he is slowly merging into a bean bag by Hen’s feet.
“It’s about Love Languages.”

Summary
Eddie’s hands are huge.
Buck continued watching the hypnotizing movements of Eddie – turning, kneading, folding, kneading, stroking, twisting, squeezing, applying more pressure, kneading, again and again and again. His fingers were slightly pink after all the force he was applying. He began wondering how that pressure would feel on his skin, on his…

Summary
MIDNIGHT — now
There are fireworks.
There are fireworks, and it takes Buck a long moment to realise that they’re actually happening. That it’s midnight on New Year’s Eve—New Year’s Day, now, he supposes—and the sky above him really is splintering into flashes of fractured light. That all of this is happening outside of his body, too—
That it’s not just his heartbeat thundering in his ears. Not just his blood rushing lightning-fast through his veins, his every nerve sparking at once, bright spots at the edges of his vision—
The fireworks are real, and not just because Eddie kissed him.

Summary
“Well.” Eddie hums. “I want to talk to you.”
Buck hides his smile against his shoulder, rolling his head to look up at the sky. The stars are a bit more visible tonight. He has to squint, and he’s not entirely sure what he’s looking at, but it’s nice—knowing that he and Eddie are looking up at the same sky. He can almost pretend they’re here together, sitting side by side in the camp chairs, miles of space, but still needing to press their knees into each other.
“I want to talk to you too.” Buck replies, equally as softly.
Eddie leaves for Texas. Buck sees him everywhere.

Summary
He pries his eyes open and squints into the gray winter light that fills the room through the windows. It’s been like this for days now, no real sunshine and just clouds filling the sky and as much as Dean loves their home, sometimes he thinks that the bunker definitely had advantages when it came to being able to ignore the weather.
With a groan he stretches and then pushes himself up on one elbow, just to find a little note stuck on Cas’s pillow.
Don’t get up, it reads with a strict looking emoji drawn next to it, I will be right back with breakfast. I love you. Happy birthday, honey!
