  Summary

  Her ears rang, as they had for months now. Why had she made the mistakes she had, and why couldn't she seem to forget about them? Why were the stars so pretty, in the deep solitude of the night? Why was she the only one to have ever cried?

  It stung, really. Nobody knew what she was going through. Well, maybe the Major, but... this woman was the lowest of the low.

  ...Her ears rang, as they had for years now. She pondered. Why? Why many things, indeed. Why were the stars so beautiful in the solace of the night? What was behind them...? Another version of her, perhaps? Why had she made the mistakes she had, and why couldn't she forget about them when everyone else could? She couldn't process all of it, nor could she really process anything else.

  She didn't really want to, anyways.
