Summary
Shoto goes to school, partecipates in exercises and training with the other students, eats at the same table as his classmates, but he's not really part of class 1-A, in the end. He sees his peers forming groups, discussing and smiling and laughing together, he hears them talking about hanging out later in the day at the mall.
It's not that he wants to hang out at mall too, he doesn't really care. He's doing just fine being by himself. He doesn't need a group of friends to survive, or so he thinks. After all, he has never had real friends, and he doesn't think he's suffered that much because of it.
Yeah, he's completely okay about the others leaving him out of their groups and their little gatherings.Things start to change after the school tournament. Well, actually what changes things is a certain green-haired boy.

It's Matteo's first year of college, but he'd rather smoke weed in his dorm room all day than drag himself to class. He tries to sign up for what he thinks will be an easy arts elective and ends in a serious acting workshop. Here he sees the Boy he's been admiring from afar all over campus: David, who's directing the end-of-quarter production of Hamlet.
David thinks Matteo's a slacker who's gonna ruin the production he's worked so hard on. Matteo thinks David's just another pretentious artist-wannabe who thinks he's better than him.
And yet somehow, their faces keep ending up at such a kissable distance.
(Or, a hate-to-love College AU in which there's not so much "hate" as misunderstanding, presumption, and a whole lot of sexual tension).

It’s such an unfamiliar feeling, this uncertainty. He always knows what to do. Where to strike next. Who to pass to. What to say to the nosy reporter. What sore spot he has to poke for his teammates to scoff and leave him alone. What celebrities he should date next.
Here, in the hospital room, with IV bags attached to him like strings to a puppet, he has no idea. He doesn’t feel like he’s narrowly escaped a career-ending injury. He doesn’t feel lucky. If anything, he’s a little disappointed. He’s pretty sure that’s a bad sign.
Something needs to change.
Maybe he’ll start with his hair.
Or: Kevin Day getting his hot girl summer by hooking up with Shane and Ilya(seperately)

“Right at me.” Yotasuke finally reappeared from behind the easel, expression unreadable as always. Yatora’s face heated up, and he couldn’t place the reason why.
“...Okay.”Yatora always thought about Yotasuke because of his beautiful art and his cold personality. He used him as a source of inspiration, and perhaps even jealously. But when they started going to TUA together, Yatora began to think about Yotasuke for other reasons.

Summary
They lapse back into a comfortable silence. Shane looks at Ilya as he is and thinks about Ilya as he was at seventeen, smoking in the back of a Saskatchewan parking lot. The image is almost unbearably tender for Shane, where his own seventeen year old thrill at seeing Ilya Rozanov meets all the things Shane knows about that lonely boy now.
Shane thinks: Do you love number 81 more than you love this man?
"Hey," Ilya says, brushing his knuckles over Shane's cheek. "Whatever I do, I will be there when you come home."
Ilya decides to retire. Shane is very normal about it.
