Summary
Shane's grin reached from ear to ear, he couldn't help it, he was just enjoying the game so much. Hockey was what he lived for, his one true happy place. It had always been so, but even more now that Shane had made peace with the fact that he'd never be able to be himself out and proud whilst a hockey legend. He couldn't have both, so he chose hockey. He would every time, it filled a void in his life that not much else could. He just loved it. Even when he'd lose a game, he'd still leave feeling proud of himself.
SMACK
Shane felt nothing as his vision faded from black to clear again. He heard screaming, panicked murmurs all around him. He wanted to shout that he was okay, it was just a painless tap clearly, but everyone was ignoring him. Everyone except Ilya Rozanov, who was staring right at him, then down, then right at him again. Shane followed his eyeline down, and gasped. There, below him, was his own body. Blood was pouring from his head, and he was twisted in a way that no living person could be and remain unconscious. He choked out a sob as he realised what had happened.
Shane Hollander was dead.

Shane shrugged, like he hadn’t just insulted his dignity. “Well, you do.”
“I had more piss than you can hold, I am certain.”
It was Shane’s turn to raise an eyebrow. “You wanna bet, Rozanov?”
He grinned. “Absolutely Hollander.”
“I’ll bet I can hold it longer than you can. Starting now.”

Summary
Ilya Rozanov is not fairing well after the Tuna Melt Incident. After a game with Ottawa and an after-party with copious amounts of alcohol he returns home and makes a poor decision. Left laying on his bathroom floor after a near death experience Ilya does not recognize the flash of a camera through his window. Later after being checked in a game against Montreal his wound reopens, Shane notices something wrong but doesn't realize what it is until the photo drops. Desperate he ends things with Rose and rushes to Ilya's home to fix what had been broken.
