“Hey,” he says, voice low.
He’s right behind you, and all your muscles tighten at how his presence looms over you.
“Turn that off,” he says.
“Jason,” you say, turning your gaze towards him. “I’m just gonna take a shower. What’s wrong, baby?”
He grabs your hand, places it on the faucet and makes you turn it off. He doesn’t let go of your hand.
“Don’t you have a report to finish?” He teases, his fingers play with your damp hand, gliding gently up your wrist in a way that makes your breath staccato. “Hm?”
You don’t say anything, your calm show quickly becoming too hard to maintain.
“Why don’t I take care of you, hon? We can always shower later if you want to.”
