  Summary

  Sal could only imagine what it must be like for Travis, having to live through the consequences of something he has no control over contradicting his beliefs and everything he has been taught in the past. Especially with his father being the very figure of these beliefs. A daily reminder of what he should be, or more precisely what society expects him to be.

  Nobody dared to step up about their living conditions or even just for Travis, not even his closest relatives. They were all trying to survive Kenneth’s wrath on their own.

  He couldn’t help but resent them for that.

  So what was so different with Sally Face?
