Anakin was going to be so normal about this conversation.
In fact, he would act so normally that there would be no conversation, because Ahsoka would immediately see his complete and utter lack of weirdness and she’d forget what she was going to say. Honestly, as soon as she registered his highly ordinary state of being, he would no longer have any problems. All Anakin had to do was sit up, smooth out his clothes, give a smile and project total zen.
It was fool proof.

By the time Maverick reached the tarmac, the plane was unloading. He spotted his target stepping off the last of the stairs, sporting his shiny new rank on his shoulders. Maverick jumped out of the cart, strode up to him, and saluted.
“Captain,” Maverick greeted, fighting a grin.
Ice did not fight his smile at all as he turned to face Maverick. He actively laughed even as he returned the salute—likely out of habit, at this point. He must get a good workout in for that right arm now that he served in a command role at his new base.
“Get over here,” Ice said, closing the gap between them and gathering Maverick into a tight hug. “What are you saluting me for?”

After months of testing, Maverick found himself in need of a good pilot to help show off his new jet. He knew just the man to call. He couldn't know that inviting Ice out to run a simulated dogfight against Top Gun students would change the course of their careers and their lives forever.

Ever since their fateful crash in 1996, the Yellowjackets tragedy has captured public fascination like nothing else before or since. As their disappearance and eventual recovery coincided with the growth of the modern internet, an online fandom has always existed, whether in the form of newsgroups, blogs, forums, subreddits, or hashtags. Compiling it all would be impossible, and much of it has been lost to time (particularly since the death of Geocities), but several cataloguing attempts have been made. This is one of them.

There’s an ease to the movement that says he almost certainly helped her up on the horse as well, and the way she moves with absolute trust that he won’t let her fall says there’s a bond there that’s had time to develop.
The girl sticks close to Joel’s side, eyes wary, as he guides her back over.
“This is Ellie,” Joel says before turning to her. “This is my brother, T-”
“Tommy, yeah. I heard. Not all of us have shit ears, grandpa.”
He blinks at the comment, but Joel doesn’t seem offended, even as he rolls his eyes.

In fact, it’s unfortunately more of the opposite — his eyes are narrowed in challenge, like he thinks he’ll be able to dissolve Annabeth’s holy matrimony with the power of his handsome looks. Not that Jason doubts it – quite the opposite, in fact. Percy is good-looking, and funny, and charming. Even Jason might be tempted to end a marriage if he were on the receiving end of that, and he’s not even attracted to men. But he likes Percy, and he likes Annabeth, and the last thing he wants as a good friend is for Percy to become a home wrecker.
“Percy, no,” he warns.
But Percy is already nodding his head. “Let’s make a bet,” he says.
Grover, who’s just finished wiping tears out of his eyes, bursts out laughing all over again. “For you to get with Annabeth? Percy!” He’s got a laugh a lot like a goat-bleat. It’s really quite charming.
Percy folds his arms in challenge. “I bet that I can get with Annabeth by Thanksgiving.”
