   Jayce is a biomedical engineer / biotech CEO.
   Viktor is a research scientist specializing in degenerative diseases.
   They previously survived a terrorist attack on their research building. Viktor was crushed by debris and died. Jayce secretly used experimental tech (biotech + fringe necromancy science) to bring him back.
   Now Viktor is dying again — but this time from hanahaki disease.
