Sunset spills over the concrete tiles of the school rooftop. It’s a beautiful day, complete with the faint chirp of birdsong and the rustling of leaves in the distance.
“Is this a joke?” Rui’s words, sharp and clipped, echo in the empty space. He says nothing else, but his hands begin to clench. There is a tension in the air that gradually sets in.
Tsukasa's eyes widen.
"I would never be with someone as selfish as you."
In which Tsukasa confesses to Rui and gets rejected. Feeling are had, misunderstandings ensue, and Nene saves the day.

Tsukishima Kei does not have time for soulmate nonsense. His third semester at college is officially kicking his ass, and he's running out of time to find the reference book he needs for class. He's not expecting this ratty library to have what he needs at all, much less for today to be the day his soulmate literally trips over him.
Kuroo Tetsurou is fully expecting his soulmate to be a foul mouthed asshole, as evidenced by the words blazoned across Kuroo's chest. He's not actively looking for his soulmate, but he is looking forward to one day meeting them.
