    He has a nephew here, still. Well, kind of. Stefan and Damon have a very distant, half nephew named Zach Salvatore. It’s strange, knowing that a whole branch of his family has lived, existed, and thrived here in a way he’d never thought a Salvatore could.

    His visit is not expected- Stefan told himself it would be more fun as a surprise. (but the truth is that zach will be more willing to let a vampire crash at his place if there’s no forewarning, if he doesn’t have the time to properly think it through)

    Stefan knocks, dropping any sense of hesitation. Perhaps this is where his life comes together.
