She wanted to beat the shit out of Kaz Brekker.
Hellgate smelled of unbathed men and urine. Ana wasn’t sure if she’d ever get used to the smell; she didn’t know if she wanted to. The mat she slept on was thin and lumpy, and she was freezing all throughout the night. She was only allowed a shower every other day, and could only go outside for thirty minutes a day. Hellshow didn’t help much in accommodations. It allowed for her to have her own cell, to have a thicker blanket, but lacked in true substance. Again, the Merch council were liars. Again, the criminals were fools.
If Ana loved anything, it was the night, the moon, the way that even if clouds covered it fully, it’s light would always shine through. She had only seen the night from behind bars for three months.
She was going to beat the shit out of Kaz Brekker. Or maybe she’d cut his ridiculous hair. Or break his cane. Whatever she did, she had a long time to think about it. But tonight she couldn’t--she wouldn’t. Tonight was the show. In just a few minutes, it’d be time to raise some hell.
