Summary

This work is a sequel to Second Generation, which tells the story of Remus and Sirius reuniting after 20 years. It's not a must-read to understand this fic, but will certainly deliver more context and emotional background.

It was just an ordinary walk to a restaurant. Tim had insisted that if they were going to talk, there would be no tape recorders or weird Archives ghosts listening in. A bit of fresh air wouldn’t kill him, Tim had said. What could go wrong?
By the time Jon spots the white delivery van, it’s much too late.
The Stranger kidnaps Jon. Tim comes along for the ride.

Summary
Martin tells Jon, later, that they took turns sitting in each other’s hospital beds and recording their statements with all of the flair of some post-apocalyptic romcom vagabonds. Tim tried to kiss both of them. Sasha pushed him off the bed, and Martin threw a pillow at him. Jon grumbles about low bar professionalism and HR violations, but listens to the tape anyway.
“Hope they grafted you some new brain cells back there, Jon,” Sasha says. “I’m afraid the rest of us sacrificed ours to the worms. Can I claim that as a work expense?”
(Or: Jon suffers a very mundane injury the day Martin is supposed to go missing. The horrors persist, much to everyone’s chagrin.)
