Summary
Bloom and Damien have grown up with a fire inside them. Then, the fire started spilling over. It started small, with candles and fireplaces, things they could ignore. Things their parents could ignore. Then things started catching fire when Damien was angry. Then plants started wilting when Bloom walked on them. Then a girl with wings tumbled into the park with some sort of demon-thing and Damien had a small forest fire in his hand and Bloom was fighting a monster with a baseball bat.
Fairies were supposed to have been a dream.
Being the origin of an inferno was supposed to be a dream.
Magic was supposed to be a dream.
But now Damien is supposed to enroll into some new boarding school for mages or whatever and Bloom can't exactly leave him alone, so she signs herself up for their school for knights. To top it all off, it seems like they're involved with the downfall of an entire planet.
When her mom said she was destined for something greater than the small town of Gardenia, Bloom thought that was parental bias, not a prophesy.

Marinette's hands slowly crept closer to the bottle, her arm was growing numb under her--But her heart was pounding faster than ever. It was now or never. 'Please..', the plea burned in her mind, 'Please'.
"What do you think you're doing?"
Marinette flinched so hard that her hands knocked the pill bottle out from under the pillow, her heart was beating so fast that she was sure that it was echoing throughout the room.
"I asked you something--Just what do you think you're doing?"

Marinette lost, Lila made the wish and everything was in ruins. Except it wasn't the end of the world like the spotted heroine had predicted. The world goes on as usual, but things have changed. No one notices it, no one even questions anything. But Marinette? Her life is hell.

how far would you go for the one you love? How much of your soul would give up to see Justice be done? Would you become a villain and burn the world just for retribution? Mirabel would. Mirabel would do whatever it took to get justice for the killer of her sister. Even if that means becoming a monster like the one that took Luisa away from her? Then a monster she'll become a monster.
