Maybe it was the fact that she had never really been able to get along with anyone. No matter how much she always focused on treating them well and trying to satisfy all their “needs,” she never seemed able to achieve it. In fact, she even caused the opposite effect.
After her talk with Kinger, Ragatha felt more relieved; however, there was still something in her chest that hurt.
It felt like she had a dagger that wouldn’t let her breathe easily. It was an absolute nuisance. And the worst part was knowing who was responsible for it.
Pomni and Jax.
When she saw him with Pomni, she was able to confirm that she did, in fact, like her. She couldn’t explain the feeling of wanting to push Jax off a cliff every time he was near her.
She knew it wasn’t jealousy—well, maybe a bit—but it was more the feeling of wanting to keep the clown away from “bad influences.” But she knew she wasn’t anyone who could control that.
