Nick knows his brothers support him wholeheartedly. There's not a homophobic bone in Matt or Chris' body. He knows this.
But sometimes, Nick is reminded that as loving and caring as they are, there are just some things that they'll never understand.
It's not their fault—Nick would never expect them to have the radar he does for detecting hatred. He had to develop it as a survival skill. Had to make sure he could sus out a homophobe without ever asking any direct questions. They didn't.
But fuck, is it hard being the only one who sees some things.

Chris had always been different from Nick and Matt, even if people couldn’t always notice it.
See, even though most people don’t notice, his family does. They know every one of his flaws, everyone of his tics, they know when he’s sad, happy, angry, in need of comfort, his mom especially has always been good at picking up on any mood changes he’d have.
The first thing anyone thinks about when it comes to him and his brothers, is that their YouTuber’s, obviously, but that’s not all they are, they’re also humans, people that live and breathe, that have lives outside of YouTube.
Some people on the internet think of them as people with ‘no flaws’, but, in Chris’ opinion, he and his brothers are just as flawed as the average human being. They cry, they fall apart, they get angry, they need reassurance, they’re human beings.
Chris is different.

Chris was about to pull out his phone and type ‘my throat hurts,’ when Nick rolled his eyes again.
“No it’s fine you should keep it that way. At least maybe well get the chance to talk.”
And that. Wow that hurt way more than it should have. Maybe his fever was finally getting to him.
OR
Chris is sick but his brothers are too mad at him to notice, so he has to deal with the consequences on his own.
