“We can be friends, if you like,” he says instead, nonchalant and careless.
“What I’d like,” Potter says seriously, “is to kiss you.”
Draco feels his jaw drop, feels the way his hair tumbles into his eyes when he whips around to stare at Potter. “What?” he breathes.
“I think I’d like to kiss you,” Potter repeats sombrely, no hint of mirth evident.
“You think?” Draco says steadily, proud of himself for holding himself together.
Potter’s eyebrows slide up briefly but then Draco can’t think or act or speak or breathe because Potter is leaning in and cupping his cheek gently. “I know,” Potter says simply, and kisses Draco.

“Tell you what. Let’s make a little wager. You pick any single bloke in this pub except Draco, I don’t care who it is. I’ll go chat him up, and I’ll try to pull. And I’ll succeed. And when I do, you have to go talk to Draco about your feelings. Deal?”
Harry was watching him. “You’ve never pulled a bloke before, have you?”
Ron shrugged. “I’ve been pulled. Same thing, innit?”
Harry held out his hand. “Deal.”
Ron raised his eyebrows as they shook. That had been a little easier than he’d expected.
“So, who’s the future Mr Weasley?”
Harry grinned and reached up to pat Ron’s cheek, then turned Ron’s jaw to a tall, broad, golden-haired bloke at the end of the bar who was far too hot for Ron. Unfortunately, he probably cancelled it out by being such a fucking wanker.
“Him,” Harry said.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Ron said, staring at Cormac McLaggen in dismay.

Summary
The Dark Lord has been defeated, Hogwarts has been rebuilt, there are more ghosts and less carefree smiles on the castle’s grounds but things are looking up. People are moving on. Life continues.
Only Harry can’t seem to shake the past, the nightmares, the constant vigilance and distrust. Draco, it seems, fares much the same. People usually say one should not run from their problems and instead face them head on. But when the problem is standing still while all the world moves on around you, maybe running away is not that bad of an idea.
