"Dwalin lingers for just a moment to study this ‘Ret’. The dwarf is obviously young. His eyes are a dark gray, nearly black. Like a crow, Dwalin thinks. Dwalin can see several small white lines crossing over Ret’s face and neck, and his bare arms. He’s dirty, bruised and scraped, kneeling on the floor with blood across half his face. And yet, there is something almost dignified about him. Which really isn’t a word Dwalin would initially use to describe the young dwarf. And yet, Ret has steel in his eyes, a strong will coiling through his posture, endurance in his clenched fists. This, Dwalin thinks, is going to be interesting."

In hindsight, Dick should have known that going on a mission - even a simple intel gathering one - whilst still affected by fear toxin wasn't the best idea. In his defense, he didn't know his team would be fighting the whole time, or that they would be facing one of his least favorite psychics. If only the team could get along long enough to notice something's wrong.

Dick has a bad day. His team doesn't notice.
