Bakugou had scoffed at the yukata, when his mother had suggested it. It’s a pain in the ass, having designers for parents. They’re always going off about aesthetics and shit when all Bakugou wants is comfortable, streamlined clothing that doesn’t make him look like an idiot.
Surveying himself in the mirror, his pale hair like a firework itself against his dark clothing, he wonders vaguely if his mother was right. Does it suit him? Will Kirishima like it?
“Don’t be stupid,” he mutters to himself, folding his hands into the long sleeves. It’s so embarrassing, to have to worry about these things.
A summer festival brings fireworks and a long awaited confession.

Summary
Jiang Cheng leaves Lotus Pier before the Wen Internment Camp and before the destruction of his home. When he meets Lan Xichen on the run from the Wens after the burning of Cloud Recesses, his plan to live a peaceful life away from cultivation sects is quickly derailed.
