Quess Paraya was dedicated to her Captain, her Char. He loved her, he did everything right for her, made it all okay. Gendered her, loved her. Made it a bright and shining world, without gravity weighing her down. Told her she could save Earth and Humanity.
When she hit the Zeknova, she learned how wrong she was. She saw Char end Earth this time. She killed him.
Another Zeknova, another Char ending the world. Again. Again. Again.
