But Yachi's going on an actual date of her own; Yamaguchi falls ill with a mild case of food poisoning after trying to clear out all the leftovers in his fridge; and Hinata's in Osaka; so Tobio, who's making a short trip to Miyagi for the week, becomes Tsukishima's easiest victim.
Tobio and Tsukishima get dinner together on Valentine's Day. Catastrophe ensues.

A mild breeze chooses that instant to blow over them; Hinata feels it raise goosebumps on his arms, cooling the sweat on his skin. He watches Kageyama’s hair blow wildly, his unbuttoned track jacket flying behind him. Kageyama’s frame is tall and strong against the glow of lamplight at his back.
He’s breathtaking.
Hinata feels words stick in his throat, stunned. His grip on his bike’s handlebars tightens.
“What?” Kageyama asks again, stepping closer. With Kageyama right in front of him, Hinata has to tilt his head back to look at him. He shivers again, and not because of the cold.
“Kageyama,” Hinata murmurs quietly. “What are we doing?”
In which the future is a looming, terrifying thing, but one that prompts Hinata and Kageyama to take one final, inevitable step in their relationship.
