“Racers! Please make your way to the track. The race will commence in fifteen minutes.”
Jisung grabs his shoulders, forcing Felix to ground himself. “I’m telling you, you got this.” Jisung begins. “Just go down there, and do what you do best. Damn to everyone else here, they’ll be so jealous when the newbie beats them in his first race.”
Felix nods, his eyes glinting with appreciation of such an amazing best friend. He leans down, pulling Jisung into a brief hug before heading out the door alongside Jisung and the other racers.
This is real.
He can do this.

Summary
Upon entering adolescence, some teenagers are assigned to one of three roles, decided by what is written in their heart. Their role will manifest as a letter on their wrist on their sixteenth birthday.
The soldier: somebody who is strong and resilient– they will fight to protect what they love, and are known for their strength and selflessness. Soldiers serve directly under the king of their nation.
The king: these are the rulers. They are assertive and are strong leaders. They are bound by the rules of their nation, and are burdened with representing their nation.
The poet: the most free role. These are the people who have creativity strung within their soul. Being a poet is not rooted in intelligence, but rather artistic abilities.
