One of the very first ST fics I ever read was the first part of this series. I don't usually read fics that have M/F in them, especially with a Fem Reader (I'm transmasc), but I adore this series. Is it technically "Porn With Plot"? Sure, but it's good that way. The author builds up the characters and their relationships in a way I can honestly say feels fresh and unique. I'm not sure if these eight works will be it for the series, and I sincerely hope we'll someday get more of a peek into III and IV's relationship (as well as more of a peek into II's softer side with the Reader), but even if we don't get anything else, I'm so happy with this.

Probably the last SPN fic I ever read and the most impactful. I'd gone on an approximately decade long hiatus from AO3 sometime after reading this and still remembered it from time to time. 16 years later and there still aren't that many fics I can say that about.

“But I brought you your favourite.” Ivy sing songs, pulling a Red Bull from his back pocket and shoving it into II’s hands. “Knew you’d be crabby.”
“Only because you left me waiting outside of a sex club for twenty odd minutes by myself.”
II has got to stop letting Ivy talk him into doing stupid shit.
