She'd become so very adept at observing the differences in a man before and after she pleasured him, especially if he worked long hours. They wanted something to get their minds off of this cruel world, someone to please their eyes and someone to see before they succumbed to sleep. It seemed the king of Hell himself was no different from the lowly men she was used to sleeping with. Indeed, aside from his title the similarities were mounting.

Summary
When Torior lands a job at one of Mornia’s newly opened border checkpoints, she doesn’t think much of the implications that come with being a border protection agent. Her Boss is hot, her coworkers are pleasantly helpful, and the people that she gets to meet everyday offer enough stories to keep the exhaustion at bay.
But as time goes on, the work begins to eat at her. She encounters criminals, cult members working behind the government’s back, sweet-faced troublemakers, and a bitter slice of everyone that Mornia left behind in its pursuit for total state compliance.
She’d broken her once close ties with the policeman that stood beside her office door everyday, and now can’t speak to him without remembering the look on his girlfriend’s face when she’d detained her. She can no longer trust the narrative that the strangers in front of her spin or the constantly changing words of her conniving coworkers, both of whom seem bent on getting her in trouble.
The office reeks of suspicion and spies, but apparently only Torior can smell it. Torior, and her Boss.
