Pulling it up over his head and shoulders, tugging it close over his chest, it makes him feel more secure. Safer, like there's a shield between him and the world, now.

"You… you said a lot that night," Jayce says, and Viktor smiles softly.
"Come on, Jayce. Think hard about that night. I said something specific, remember?"
Jayce stares at him, blinking hard as his tears finally start to dry up. He's putting the thought into the memories, and then he huffs. A wry grin raises on his lips as he meets Viktor's eyes.
"You said that when you want to change the world, don't ask for permission."
"Correct! What a lot of people don't realize, however, is that sometimes the world is very small. Sometimes the world is you. You don't need permission to work on yourself. You do not need permission to become better. Okay?"

Summary
The other man gasps when Jayce wraps his arms around him in a hug, but then he folds down around him in a hug just as strong but twice as desperate.
“You're so young. You're so young,” he whispers into the top of his head, and Jayce doesn't bring attention to the tears he can feel dripping onto his hair. He knows he would hate it being pointed out himself. The hug could last one minute or ten for as much as he knows, but when the older finally draws himself away Jayce just… looks at him.

In which instead of going back to when he departed his timeline, Jayce is thrown much further back by accident. This will change everything, but it changes the most for our dynamic Hextech duo.
Jayce has always wanted an older brother, after all.
