This is wrong, this is so wrong, he has no idea what’s even happening right now– some part of Matt attempts to replay these thoughts like a mantra, louder and louder in his mind, throwing them out like a spike strip to stop the getaway car of this, his deepest, darkest, longest-held desire. It doesn’t work.

Summary
Perhaps all of Jay’s snacks–which Matt was mentally calling his Bird Seed–had started to have an impact on his body. While he’d always had a sweet tooth, he was certainly eating larger quantities more frequently than usual. And he’d made Matt stop for a large ice cream cone yesterday.
Matt realizes just how pliable sweets make Jay, but it seems to come with some unintended consequences.

It’s a lot to take in.
And now he's got an invitation to come over and "play some Street Fighter". Gordon’s not totally goddamn clueless. He’s heard of subtext before. That doesn’t mean he has to like it, he thinks aggressively. If he just keeps thinking it, maybe that strange, electric thrill in the pit of his stomach will buzz off.
