And that was very true. Jayce was content dying like this, so long as it was together with his partner. This warm certainty fluttered in his heart as the world seemed to end around them, runes dancing and the cosmos collapsing.
Even as his consciousness faded, that peaceful acceptance felt like a lullaby to Jayce.That was it. Should have been it, in theory.
