Summary
When Ilya gets into a car accident on his way back from the cottage and wakes up having lost the last half year of his memories, Shane’s world crumbles.
He keeps telling himself that Ilya will remember, that everything will go back to how it was before, but it’s hard to keep holding on to that hope when Ilya looks at him with so much distrust and hurt in his eyes.Having just spent two wonderful weeks at Shane’s cottage, Ilya’s newfound bliss is cut short when he wakes up in a hospital and the last thing he remembers is playing a game against the Metros back in winter.

By the time Shane washes his face, brushes his teeth and packs, there's no time to change. So he's stuck wearing the sweatshirt to the airport while mentally being grateful that it's not a tight neon t-shirt that shows the two barbells poking through both his nipples.
Let this be a lesson. Never look at pictures of your situationship with his tongue down beautiful women's throats and go on a jealousy tirade to live a wild night in a city like Las Vegas.

“Sorry,” Shane says. “It wasn’t bad, or anything. Okay, I mean, it was bad, but not bad bad. I just wasn’t enjoying it.”
“Ah,” Ilya says. “Doctor role-play not for you? This is okay.”
But Shane shakes his head. He fumbles to grasp at Ilya’s hand beside him, and Ilya squeezes back gratifyingly fast, which gives him the confidence to say, “No, it’s not that, it’s just—it was kind of inaccurate.”

Shane had the sudden sinking feeling that he had been stood up. Rozanov must have found something better to do with his night in Toronto. He started back into his room when the number next to his door caught his eye.

He’d told Rozanov the wrong number. He was sure of it. His brain was so scrambled by the interaction in the shower that when Rozanov asked his room number, he jumbled up the digits and told him 1410.
OR
