8/10. They are SOOOO down bad for each other LMAO. The whole thing was so cute and funny! Love everyone’s dynamics. Was sending Mica voice messages throughout, very entertained. I was sad that we didn’t get a confession scene or anything adjacent to that, but it’s ok… We still got implied official dating at the end, ig. But I would have liked a liiiitle emotion conversation between SeungBin. Just a little, PLEASE. All they do is banter (however cute that is)! That being said, this contains biblically accurate Seungmin pissing Changbin off on purpose just to get manhandled hehe. And Seungmin ogling Changbin’s muscles. And Changbin losing his mind over Seungmin in glasses. YUP. Also, cute Felix cameo mention! There’s a League player who also owns a bakery in a referenced news story and I was like THAT’S FELIX BITCHES!!! Hell yeah.

9/10. This was very good, very well-written. Sue me for enjoying fics that have religious guilt as a theme! Been there, done that, and it’s so nice to see characters work through it and have happy endings. Big fan of how everyone surrounding Seungmin is so kind to him even when he doesn’t deserve it ‘cause they understand the headspace he’s currently in. They give him so much grace and welcome him back with open arms once he figures his shit out (even before then, lowkey) and it’s so beautiful to read. Especially a big fan of how soft Changbin is with Seungmin throughout the whole fic, even when they’re on bad terms. But extra when they’re on good terms. UGH, and I just love the tender affection between the two of them when they finally get together. Yes.

8/10. This was quite good!! This author is hilarious in their notes and a good writer to boot. The angst was heavy af in this though, don’t read if you feel like you’d be triggered by depictions of self-harm, eating disorders, and both emotional and physical abuse (not between Hyunlix, fear not). That being said, the author did a fan-fucking-tastic job with weaving humor into the story, I laughed even more than my heart hurt lol. Minsung is so funny and their dynamic was one of the highlights of the story for me!! (Tbh I recommend reading if only for the Minsung content, author did so good.) Also, Hyunjin is such a hopeless romantic loser, I love him where can I get one??? And lastly, I feel I have to mention it… the courtroom scene at the end? Less than accurate, I fear LOL. However, justice does get served to the bad guy, so I’ll take it.

🙏 If mermaids aren't your thing, I hope you will still give this a try! I was aiming for unique, fun, angsty and lots of Minsung love.

8/10. Soooo I decided to give the mermaid mpreg fic a chance because I love Yoonmincraze. It wasn't my favorite on of their fics, but I still enjoyed! And, even though I love their stories, I can't keep overlooking the comma issue. THE COMMA ISSUE. Also, ok, tbh I've always hated the pregnancy trope, but lately every single time I happen to read mpreg I am 0% upset and ridiculously invested in the plot. Maybe it's because the characters always love each other so much through it all and it's never treated as a bad thing? And maybe because no women are involved so there's no opportunity for my brain to self-insert so I don't feel icked out? Idk man. Sigh. Anyway... Loved the biblically accurate Minho rapid-fire blinking! Also, ya girl is a visual learner and this fic had me looking up how a dolphin gives birth to better visualize what the fuck was going on with their siren tails LMAO. Love when a fic teaches me something new ahahaha. And, as always, I love how Yoonmincraze writes Minho's love for Jisung. Ugh.

9/10. Another high-scoring fic from my QUEEN. Is the writing as polished as some of their other works? No, but bestie still has a massive talent for storytelling! And, as with most Yoonmincraze fics, it was ANGSTY. But the circumstances were highkey understandable and it didn’t feel crazy frustrating like War and Rain’s angst. In the end it's worth it anyway! The moment where Minsung finally talks it out (well, more like fights it out) and confesses is sooooo fulfilling. I reread it twice before moving on hehe. Also, their dance scene was SO good UGHH MY HEARTTT. & finally an omegaverse where the characters can fully shift! I did find myself skimming through the smut though, it wasn’t hitting for some reason and I just wanted to get back to the plot already. Maybe I'm just in an anti-smut mood rn. Oh and there is mpreg, but at this point ya girl does not give two shits. I love Minsung and I love a good story and nothing else matters. Get each other pregnant for all I care, they’re in love your honor!
