The stars look down upon me. They see my misfortune and misery, and they snicker in their warm shapes.
They write and write. Write until they can’t no more, until they run out of messages to send, until I am nothing left. Letter after letter is sent by them, marked in their own little wax and paper preference, but one thing stays the same; it always marks tragedies and woes.

“About you, sweetheart? Of course,” Erling doubles down. “There’s no reason for anyone to be able to smell you outside of your room. Are you going into heat, Jude?”
What good does it even do Erling if he knows that Jude is in pre-heat? Even if Jude were to be in heat at this very moment, there’s nothing Erling could do about it.
“No,” Jude answers definitively.

When he confessed he wanted to be a footballer, his father let out a laugh loaded with venom and his mother reminded him that no alpha would take an interest in him if he kept up such a rebellious attitude. Bellingham didn't care; he only wanted to prove to the world that an omega could achieve more than serving as an accessory to bear children and look after a home.
