Philza had taken to loving every snowflake. The delicate ice painted so beautifully by the frozen air, new and strange as they fell from the sky. Each one as unique as the days he spends in the Antarctic Empire with Techno.
The experience was made all the more unpredictable by his son.
When he held his son for the first time, his will to live that unique life of mortality, that promise he made to his wife when she handed William to him, ignited so powerfully in his soul he could remember what it felt to be a weak man. So helpless to the passage of time his only choice was to move with it and the strength to carry his son with him.
If only he realized how fast time really moved.

Purples and pinks stretching across the snowy hills and iced walls that enclose their brilliant Capital as the sky held its yellow hue. Hearing the soft “Aw, mate.” As his father gently laughed. Obsidian wings fluffed up as they flapped lightly.
All Will could think was his father could never love him like that. That open, that raw and honest.

Or so Rocky thought.
