Summary
Jisung tossed and turned. The glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling seemed to mock him. He wanted the streaming to work out so badly. Outside of astrophysics, it was what he loved most in the world. By streaming, he could spend his days having fun and doing what he was good at. If only making pizza was rocket science. Even though Chenle had laughed at him, he swore that food prep and handling customers was more challenging than any physics test he'd ever taken in his life. That might be a little hyperbolic, but it didn't change the fact that currently, he was miserable. His usual indulgence of gaming was now also being polluted with his failure at being a successful streamer. He genuinely couldn't lose his only dopamine hit. Closing his eyes, Jisung made a vow. If he didn't find success within the next month, he'd quit streaming. It was fine. He got a discount from the pizza place, anyway.
Or: Jisung is a burnt out college student who wants to become a professional streamer. After a continued lack of success, he gave himself a deadline. Luckily, fate led him to meet a sweet but sly man named Donghyuck, who did his best to give Jisung everything he wanted.

"Do you know who I am?" His voice was smooth. Higher than Doyoung expected. The sonorous sound flowed over Doyoung and eased him despite himself. The creature's waist stayed below the water.
"Yes. A merman."
The merman laughed, head twisting to the side as the gills on his neck fluttered. The sound tinkled like coins.
"No, fool. I'm the monster."
Or: Doyoung was fated to find a monster out at sea. All he knew for sure was that he would have him.
