Summary
Naim was half-convinced that Ryan was going to kill him.
The serpent was a large, devious thing. Its darkly striped body, twisted and scaly, slid menacingly along the yellowed grass, flattening it into a bed of dead straw. Its head, tense and alert, stuck rigidly upright like a stake in the dirt. It hissed in warning.
Ryan was taunting it, wielding a stick that lacked heft, instead resembling a long, wickedly crooked finger. With every prod, the snake bounded with brisk motions, proving its body strong, supple, and unpredictable.
It was very close.
“Quit it. You’re pissing it off,” Naim said.
“It’s not pissed,” Ryan insisted, "it's scared.”

My Leviticus fix-it. I preserved some scenes and beats, even some direct dialogue, making minor changes. But I also made some major changes. I left this movie feeling like it needed more, and my main goal was to give the story more dimension and a little bit of a different structure. Though many, many of Chiarella's choices (and obviously his base premise/characters/setting) are great.

Summary
Years on from Bandee, part of him was still scared of how Ryan made him feel. The things he made him want. Maybe he'd never be able to let go of that fear entirely, ruined by what they'd been through in more ways than a murderous shadow. But tonight there was an ache inside of him like a bruise and Naim needed desperately for it to be pressed.
Naim and Ryan go to a friend's birthday, and Naim lets himself want without fear.

Summary
In a world where everyone has a timer on their left wrist that counts down until the day realise they are in love with their soulmate, Remus falls in love with his soulmate 3 years before he reciprocates. Remus knew the timers were set in stone. They were inevitable, and there was nothing he could do to change the timer or speed up the process.
And Sirius would return Remus’ feelings, eventually.
Oh God. His timer had hit zero. And he had been thinking of Sirius.
He was in love with Sirius.
“Oh my God! Who was it?” Sirius begins to ask, but Remus can’t hear him. His ears are blocked with water, and his mind is far from the little rink in which they stand. Instead of trying to listen, he looks instead. He looks at Sirius’ wrist, where the numbers stare mockingly back at him.
27, 391 hours.
