“Uh,” Zuko continues eloquently, trying to not immediately lose his sense of purpose to the sight, or to wondering about whether the two of them together like this with just each other means they’ve already— “Sorry,” he manages to get out, mouth dry, inner fire buzzing in his ears, “I can—I can come back when you’re—”
“Zu!” Sokka pops off Suki’s nipple with an audible sound, grinning. “I thought you had a meeting!”]

Summary
In the aftermath of the fairy attack upon the castle, Reimund tells Kirsi that the heightened security and roving falcons are all for her safety, meant to apprehend the the fairy's likely companion—a pixie spy, which might return to its faction with sensitive information about the castle's defenses.
After several days with no sightings, though, the guard patrols are reduced to their usual schedules, and Kirsi takes advantage of the opportunity and favorable weather to go for a stroll through the castle gardens.
She does not expect to be the first to find the pixie in the hedgerows, among the beautiful blooming roses.

Even as she developed breasts, even as the baby fat left her cheeks and the sound of her voice matured, they continued to treat her like a child, one whose “innocence” was never to be tampered with. If someone made a dirty joke, a Covey member would playfully cover her ears. If she tried to drink the liquor offered to her during concerts, they would snatch the bottle away from her, shaking their heads in mock disapproval. She knows it’s a joke, that they’re teasing her, but beneath the humorous remarks, there’s a hint of truth. That they believe her to be innocent, pure, too pure for sex or alcohol or any of the other numerous “adult” parts of life that others her age have begun to indulge in. This is their perception of her, and she has not been able to shake it, no matter how hard she tries.
Lenore Dove does not feel innocent. She does not feel pure. At least, not in the way they perceive her to be.

Summary
Turns out, college is not that different from high school. Especially when you fall asleep in your freshman dorm and wake up on your first day of senior year with all the knowledge of what’s to come. Except it never does. Nobody falls, nobody dies.
