Powder couldn’t have been more relieved when she made it to third period. Mr. Talis wasn’t waiting in the doorway to greet her on her way in.
There was no shot he’d miss today if it wasn’t for something serious. They had that test she didn’t study for.
“Is that everyone?” The sub asked from the back of the room.
He was leaning on the desk with the sleeves of his black button up rolled up to his elbows. His long white locks were tied into a bun. Something she found disgusting when any other guy did it, but he pulled it off.
“It’s a small class.” She explained.
He nodded and walked up to the front of the room, walking right past Powder’s desk on the way.
Damn. She thought to herself. Why can’t I find a guy with an ass like that?-------------------
One day Powder's teacher brings in a former student just a few years older than her as the substitute teacher for a few weeks. He's hot.

Ekko noticed she liked to bite things. Her lips, her hands, her stuffed animals, even popsicles she ate. A harmless habit, just comes with the price of scars on her lips- Or lipstick on her plushes, or a brain freeze.
She sometimes bites pencils when she holds one. Chews on her straw when she's done with the drink. Ekko always looks at her with amazement that she could, and wanted to bite everything.

Summary
The music is muted in Ekko's mind, drowned out by the apology trapped in his throat, and by the loud desire to kiss her and tell her that everything will be okay, that they’ll be okay.
Jinx asks him, “Everything used to be so easy between us, remember?”
Of course I do. She can’t look at him, but he looks at her as the neon lights splash color over her skin, synced with the music that begins to fade back into existence. Ekko recognizes the upbeat bass line and the pop synth melody. It’s a song that Jinx would sing and dance to in his bedroom, barefoot on the carpet in nothing but cotton panties and his t-shirt from the night before. “I remember,” he says.
She gets up and offers her hand. With a small smile curling her lips and a small plea brightening her eyes, she says, “Maybe it still can be.”
Or, a sultry modern AU where Jinx and Ekko are ex-lovers.
