Or little power, anyway. Like a depleted battery that kept clinging to life. Enough to keep him awake, at least for now, but not enough to convince him to get out of bed.
He was pretty sure it was sometime in the afternoon already, but he hadn’t even rolled over yet. He hadn’t checked his phone or eaten breakfast. His stomach was tumbling uneasily enough that he wasn’t sure if he would’ve been able to manage it even if he could make it to the kitchen."

“You okay?” Jon asked, following Jay further into the apartment, trailing after him while Jay lowered himself slowly into his desk chair, each movement practiced and calculated. Jay shivered, and Jon saw the hairs on the back of his neck stand up.
“Fine, just…” Jay swallowed thickly and shook his head slightly, reaching up to take his glasses off. He dug the heels of his palms into his eye sockets. “Just cold…” There was something off about the tone of his voice. Something distant and not all there, like he was talking through a few layers of fog and cotton. He watched Jay’s hand go through the desk.

Sometimes it's hard for Jay to feel grounded when his powers rely on the exact opposite. Jon helps, and that's what matters.

Summary
Kon keeps getting a strange dream. Night after night there a gentle heartbeat next to him, lulling him off. One night he finally get's to see the face of the person's heart. There's something in him that never wants to let the dream go. A comfort that confides him every nights he hears it next to him. It feels so real yet his mind screams at him that it isn't. Still he holds onto it morning after morning.
(Alt. Kon and Tim keep seeing each other in their dreams before they meet.)
