She wanted someone to see her for her. To be able to breathe the fresh air and not smell blood and hate and mistrust. To not accidently kill the townsfolk who won't stop coming for her.
Lizzie was tired of the whispers. Lizzie was tired of being managed. Lizzie was tired of episodes and not knowing what was wrong in her head. She wanted someone who would love her. She was scared to be a spinster. She was scared to be alone. And she was feeling Josie slip away.
